Ding Dong the Witch is In

Here a few pictures of fall decor around my home. I made the hat out of newspaper!!

Pumpkin seed label and Keep Calm print I got from Graphics Fairy! My great grandmother Lois Laws made the clock from thread spools she got from the sewing hall she worked at. And the sewing machine was hers too. I think its safe to say crafting and creativity run in the family.

Haunted House Luminary by Harry Slatkin I got at Bath and Body Works!!
Hope this put everyone in a fall spirit! HAPPY FALL Y'ALL!!

Shabby Chic Table

I purchased this table for $10 at a yard sale and wasn't too keen on the dark wood look so I took a chance and this is how it turned out!
This is the table before (excuse the mess in the background it was a crafting day:)

I first sanded it and roughed it up. (Excuse the blurry picture as well:)

I then used a off white paint that I had on hand and used the dry brush approach and lightly spread paint on the table sparingly.

This is what it looks like. Then I took a more beige white and just kinda spotted it around the table in random places. Next I sanded all the edges and the edges of the drawer and exposed the wood. Lastly I used fruitwood stain and rubbed all over the table then wiped it off to give it a more aged look. Viola!! Shabby Chic Table on the Cheap!!

I Heart Chalkboard Spray Paint!!

I have recently been introduced to a new love in my life (and no its not what your thinking).....chalkboard spray paint!! I purchased a can of the chalkboard spray paint from Wal-Mart for $3.67 and a roll of (I thought it was ugly but good for covering up) contact paper for $1.28. I sprayed the contact paper with 2 coats of the spray paint and let dry. The spray paint goes on really smooth and covers great! The contact paper that I bought had a blue square design on it and it covered beautifully! Then I cut 2 pieces to cover an expose side of my fridge. I peeled the back off and attached to the side an voila! I still have alot left over but I'm sure I will find a use for it somewhere. I also put labels on my sugar canisters and jars that make for easy labeling and be changed easily!

Im also linking up to Somewhat Simple's Link Party! check it out lots of inspiration!!

Link Party Tuesday!!

Go over and get inspired at http://todayscreativeblog.net/ where I joined their link party for Tuesday!! I submitted the custom coasters. Lots of fabulous ideas!

Cheap but Cute Coasters

These wonderful coasters were made by my bestie Heather (who you will meet soon). I found the coasters on clearance at Old Navy for .97 and she used scrapbook letters for the wording then applied a coat of decoupage finish. .97 cents and a few minutes later you have one of a kind, custom personalized coasters!!
